Elliott Barenthin

Elliott Barenthin is a pianist based in the Toronto area, currently studying jazz at the University of Toronto. He particularly enjoys the Jazz of Art Tatum, Thelonious Monk, Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck, the Ragtime music of Scott Joplin, and the modern jazz of Michel Petrucciani, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. Elliott formed the Elliott Barenthin Trio in 2022 and has performed in various functions throughout Toronto. He has performed in the Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival in 2020 and 2021. He was also the pianist for the Toronto All Star Big Band in 2021-2022. Elliott has studied under Amanda Tosoff, Richard Whiteman, Mark Eisenman, Adrean Farrugia and Hannah Barstow.


Jesse Whiteley 

Jesse Whiteley is a passionate and multi-talented pianist/keyboardist, singer, composer, arranger, and bandleader. Throughout his diverse musical life, Jesse has performed the gamut of musical genres from blues, jazz, swing, boogie woogie, rhythm and blues, to roots, and country.

Born and raised in Toronto, Jesse began working professionally at age 17 with the Toronto All-Star Big Band. Throughout his years with the Big Band, he has worked as both a pianist and conductor and has shared the stage with such luminaries from the blues and jazz world as Clark Terry, Jackie Richardson, Oliver Jones, Cleo Laine and John Dankworth, and Doc Severinsen. Jesse conducted the band full-time from 2018 to 2022.

Jesse has appeared on recordings with legendary blues musicians Curley Bridges, Little Charlie Baty, Hubert Sumlin, Charlie Musselwhite, dad Chris Whiteley and uncle Ken Whiteley. Jesse can be seen performing under his own name and accompanying many different artists and groups around the Toronto music scene, and anywhere else the music takes him. He can often be seen walking at a brisk pace along Lakeshore Blvd.

Julian Troiano

Julian was born and raised in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and has followed his passion for music from a very early age. Inspired by his uncle, Canadian Music Hall-of-Famer Domenic Troiano, Julian taught himself piano and has been performing and singing professionally for more than a decade.

Focusing on soulful interpretations of popular songs, Julian has performed over 400 times at some of the most renowned venues across Canada. From timeless classics by icons like Frank Sinatra and Stevie Wonder to contemporary hits by artists such as Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, his performances embody a rich tapestry of musical influences.

Sheikah Francis

Shelkah is a Toronto-based saxophonist and educator with a vibrant blend of Caribbean, jazz, funk, Latin, and R&B influences. A graduate of Humber College with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance, she has dazzled audiences at the Juno Awards, Toronto Jazz Festival, and alongside top names like Larnell Lewis, Divine Brown, and Joy Lapps. Currently performing with the Momentum Band in their popular “Legends of Motown Show,” Shelkah combines her passion for music and education to inspire both concertgoers and students alike. John JP Pagnotta

John JP Pagnotta is a jazz and soul saxophonist and classical flutist in Toronto and surrounding area. Born and raised in the multicultural community of downtown Toronto, John JP Pagnotta brings many world beat influences to his brand of soulful music. As a professional musician for over thirty years, JP has worked with some of the finest local, national and international musicians. JP is equally well versed in jazz, R&B, pop, soul, and classical music. JP’s sound has been described as introspective and soulful with an infectious groove.

 


The Mars and Al Show

Joe

Joe is a very versatile and talented keyboard player/band leader also a composer/arranger. He has been a band Leader for years and performed in numerous different show cases everything from Showbands, Broadway, Concerts, to Cruise Ships and Dance Bands, Jazz bands. He has performed in numerous Countries such as Japan, Philippines, Cyprus, Italy, USA, Middle East and other countries, also played with the famous group from the seventies the “Delfonics” and others such as George St.Kitts, Selena Evangeline, Quisha Wint, Tony Smith (smooth Jazz group) and have played on many records with different artists. Different styles of music is one of Joe’s Specialties
