Ross Wooldridge Quartet

Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday throughout the Fall and Winter, The Home Smith Bar at the Old Mill Toronto showcases some of the most important entertainers on today’s jazz scene performing for your pleasure in the cozy intimacy of one of Toronto’s best-loved lounges.

ROSS WOOLDRIDGE, multi-instrumentalist, clarinet virtuoso, composer, arranger, conductor, and leader of the acclaimed ‘Tribute to Benny Goodman’ Sextet, a stellar group stocked with world class musicians, and a critically-praised self-titled new CD.

He is also the accomplished leader/musical director of Toronto’s respected Galaxy All Star Orchestra (featuring Wooldridge in shows including “Benny Meets Artie“: a Tribute to the Big Bands of Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman; “In The Mood”: a Tribute to the music of Glenn Miller; and “Carnegie Hall 1938“: a re-creation of Benny Goodman’s landmark 1938 Carnegie Hall Concert), leads the “Artie Shaw and His Gramercy 5” tribute band, and co-leads the popular traditional jazz band, “The Dixie Demons”, an ensemble with two albums to their credit and a three-decade history of delighting audiences all over the province.

This evening’s all-star ROSS WOOLDRIDGE TRIO features jazz masters ROSS WOOLDRIDGE on clarinet and saxophone, BERNIE SENENSKY on piano, PAT COLLINS on bass, and drummer TERRY CLARKE, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
