First Tuesday and every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday throughout the Spring, the Home Smith Bar at the Old Mill Toronto showcases some of the most important entertainers on today’s jazz scene performing for your pleasure in the cozy intimacy of one of Toronto’s best-loved lounges.
Tonight we feature award-winning pianist ANTHONY PANACCI – member of the Jazz teaching faculty at Humber College; honored as Mississauga ‘Musician of the Year’ in 1999; a key figure on the Toronto club and studio music scene since 1976; a lengthy touring and recording history that includes work with a wide-ranging roster of entertainment names, among them David Clayton-Thomas, Liona Boyd, Petula Clark, Shirley Eikhard, The Mersey Brothers, The Montuno Police, Pete Wade, Robby Ameen, and his own “Eclectica Latino” project featuring Raul Pineda and Roberto Viscaino.
Panacci is owner of the Trax Ahead recording studio, producing and engineering a variety of jazz CD projects for bands, singers, and music for TV, including his wife Mary Panacci’s “Her Perfume”, and his own “Eclectica Latino” and “Blues for Jazz”.
This evening’s all-star ANTHONY PANACCI TRIO features jazz masters ANTHONY PANACCI (piano), WILL JARVIS (bass), and MARK KELSO (drums), entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
