Afternoon Tea

 A grand tradition for over a century, Old Mill Toronto has the pleasure of serving you England’s most beloved ritual of Afternoon Tea. Unwind, and indulge with our house-made signature scones, scrumptious artisan tea sandwiches, dainty French pastries and authentic Devonshire Cream. A unique Afternoon Tea experience served in our beautiful Dining space!

To compliment such a special menu, we have teamed up with a local favourite, Sloane Fine Tea Merchants and hand picked 12 new signature Sloane teas that best represent our English roots.

Whether it’s an afternoon out or a special occasion with a group of friends, our Afternoon Tea experience is a perfect way to savour your special moments and enjoy in conversation over an assortment of treats.

For those that wish to extend your experience at home, we offer selected tins of Sloane tea for sale. Add some Old Mill Toronto Honey *Batch 4* lovingly made by our bees and is 100% organic – un-bee-lievably delicious.

We were led to a lovely window table as I had requested. Service was prompt and friendly. The food, as usual, was delicious and plentiful. We packed up the rest and will enjoy it at home. This is a tradition for us to be certainly repeated next year. The tables are nicely spaced so that conversation is easy.

My friend and I really enjoyed the Nutcracker Afternoon Tea. It was such a treat. The Old Mill is a beautiful old building to walk around in. Each room has a unique look and feel. Some have fireplaces, windows to a garden, arches, large mirrors, woodwork, large pictures and warm lighting. We enjoyed walking around the outside and looking at the stone and architecture. The room that we had our tea in was full of pictures and decorated with a candy theme. The staff were very friendly and did all they could to serve you. The food was amazing. Everything had its own taste and you could take it home if you couldn’t finish it. Its presentation was a piece of art as well. Wonderful variety of tea. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We are both in our 50’s but we saw children enjoying their tea time too with hot chocolate choices. It definitely felt like a step back in time and a nice change from what we usually see. You could take a walk along the water that runs beside it. You do have to pay for additional parking across from the building. Weddings, private events and Christmas parties were all happening too but you didn’t feel that the place was crowded. The staff can accommodate food concerns and accessibility challenges. Definitely unique and fun experience.

The ambiance was cozy, and the afternoon tea was excellent quality with lovely trays of desserts and sandwiches. We were seated promptly, and never felt rushed.

Nutcracker afternoon tea was just lovely. Delicious food, great selection of tea and a festive atmosphere. Really enjoyed the entire experience and would recommend this to everyone. Left feeling full.

The Nutcracker Afternoon Tea was a great success! The room was decorated beautifully and tables were well organized and elegantly set. The food offerings were the best I’ve had at any of the many Old Mill Afternoon Teas I’ve attended over the past 35 years. The service by Lionel, our server, was wonderful. He was friendly and accommodating but not intrusive in any way. Please consider incorporating all of the savoury items including both scones on your regular tea menu. These two tiers were my favourites. I wouldn’t change a thing! Congratulations and well done. My friends and I will surely be returning soon!! Thanks to all at The Old Mill for our lovely afternoon!

Gratuity Policy re Groups/Parties: Groups/parties of 10 or more persons, a 15% gratuity will apply. Only one bill will be presented to groups/parties of 10 or more.
Reservation Policy: A credit card is required to secure all reservations.
Cancellation Policy: If a reservation is cancelled or changed within 48 hours of the booked seating time, $10 will be charged per guest to the credit card on file. You may email us at diningroom@oldmilltoronto.com or leave us a message at 416-207-2020 to cancel your reservation.
Allergy Statement: While we will do our best to accommodate your needs, please note our menu may contain or come into contact with wheat/gluten, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish and soy. Old Mill Toronto Hospitality Inc. is not a nut free facility.
Allergy Menu: We require 48 hours notice for any of our Allergy menu options. We can not accommodate same day allergy requests. At this time, we offer a Vegan, Gluten-Free Option, Gelatine-Free Option as alternatives to our classic Afternoon Tea Menu. No menu substitutions to either the Original menu or Allergy menu.
Menu: Menus are subject to change without notice. This menu can be Vegan, Gluten Free, and Vegan/ Gluten Free (GF $3 additional charge). We do not solely accommodate for vegetarianism.
