The Advocats Big Band is delighted to be returning to Old Mill Toronto on Saturday, November 18th for “Swing into the Holidays with the Advocats Big Band”, another delightful evening of dinner and dancing to get you in the mood for the upcoming festive season.

The Advocats Big Band, originally assembled in 1991 by a group of young lawyers to perform at a Toronto fundraiser, includes many top professional musicians and music educators whose collective experience range from studio, theatre, film and television work to major symphony orchestra, night club and chamber music.

The Advocats have played at many venues throughout Toronto over the years and since 2004 have performed on the first Monday of every month, in recent years at The Duke Toronto.

The Band’s repertoire includes big band classics played by the likes of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and music from modern talents like Michael Bublé, the New York Voices, Norah Jones and more.

The Advocats Big Band receives regular radio airplay on Glen Woodcock’s Big Band Show on Jazz.FM91 and Dean Hollin’s Big Band Sunday Night on Zoomer Radio, both in Toronto. This includes tracks from their first album “In Full Swing!” released in 2020 and from their holiday album “All I Want for Christmas is…Swing!” released in 2022.
