TERRA DAWN HAZELTON is a true Renaissance woman! A celebrated Canadian Jazz Vocalist, two-time Canadian Screen Award Nominated Actress, former National Radio host, and Visual Artist. She has been an important part of the Toronto jazz scene for more than two decades, rising to prominence as a member of Jeff Healey’s band The Jazz Wizards for six years, followed
by frequent long-term engagements with the beloved Hogtown Syncopators, Terra Hazelton & Her Easy Answers, and The Jivebombers.
Hazelton’s debut album (produced by and featuring Healey) was released in 2004. In 2009 she released her “Gimme Whatcha Got” album (Vinyl Cafe). Her most recent studio album “That’s All” is a live-off-the-floor recording featuring Nathan Hiltz and Jordan O’Connor.
As an accomplished actress, she was cast in Canadian cult film “FUBAR 2” for which she received a Genie nomination as Best Supporting Actress. She was also seen in a web series called “Whatever Linda”, as well as in a recurring role on the hit TV series ‘Orphan Black’.
In the Spring of 2019, after more than 20 years here, Terra Hazelton is leaving Toronto and heading for the Rocky Mountains of Southern Alberta to live in nature and continue her artistic pursuits.
