Singer/Songwriter SHANNON BUTCHER has a delightful style all her own – whether covering jazz standards, bringing an intimate tone to ’70s rock, or giving a funk spin to country classics. Her dynamic interpretations of modern hits and original songs have brought her international attention and pushed her to the top of Canadian charts.
Since iTunes named her one of the best new jazz vocal artists following her debut recording, she has toured across Canada and overseas, and since launching her solo career in 2008 she has released four successful studio albums. As a vocal teacher and coach, she shares her energetic and nurturing
instruction with students at the country’s best music schools, camps, and in her own private studio. She has been head of the Vocal Faculty at National Music Camp since 2008.
This evening’s singing star SHANNON BUTCHER features JEFF McLEOD on piano and GEORGE KOLLER on bass, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
