Vocalist PAT MURRAY is a one-of-a-kind, sultry songstress with an extensive background in the performing arts.  Using harmonic and rhythmic variations, she is well-known both for her capacity to flawlessly recreate a pop song, R&B, or a standard, into an excitingly fresh and new interpretation, making any song truly her own.

She has performed in North America, the Caribbean, and Brazil. Her father was a jazz guitarist who played with Oscar Peterson and gave Gordon Lightfoot (who babysat her) lessons on guitar, and she was encouraged from the age of three to sing and perform. Throughout her 30-year career, she has recorded four CDs.  Patricia Murray features all original music and Pat Murray: Live at Montees was recorded in Kingston, Ontario. Her most recent is Pat Murray & Mark Kieswetter: The Beatles Book, available on iTunes.

She has performed in bands ranging from classic rock to oldies, R&B, and Jazz. She is also a private vocal teacher and mentor. She has performed on many other artists’ CDs adding her exquisite harmonies and 3.5 octave range where directed. She is a band leader, having performed with only an acoustic bass, up to and including full orchestras. Murray’s loyal fan base is made up of all ages and types as she has the capacity to entertain any crowd with her diversified vocal range, her humour, raw emotion, and her passion for her craft, which shines effortlessly through every song she performs.

This evening’s singing star PAT MURRAY features STU HARRISON on piano and GEORGE KOLLER on bass, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
