JAKE WILKINSON is an award-winning trumpeter, pianist, vocalist, composer, lyricist, producer, teacher, recording engineer, and arranger. He began his professional musical career in 1991. Since that time he has composed hundreds of original works and arrangements, produced 6 CDs of original material, and performed all over the world.
Wilkinson has played with The Boss Brass, The Toronto Jazz Quartet, The Powder Blues Band, Long John Baldry, Grant Stewart, Mark Eisenman, Don Thompson, Bernie Senensky, Archie Alleyne, Perry White, John Hicks, and Bob Mover. Currently, he is a member of Raoul and The Big Time, the Dave Murphy Band, the Andrew Scott Group, and the Richard Whiteman Quintet, parallel to leading his own Trio, Quartet, Quintet, and Nonet. In the Spring of 2019, he completed his masters in composition and in the Fall will begin his research and studies toward a PhD in music.
This evening’s all-star JAKE WILKINSON TRIO features jazz masters JAKE WILKINSON on trumpet, LEE WALLACE on guitar, and JON MEYER on bass,  entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of The Home Smith Bar.
