Drummer CHRIS WALLACE’s music career has spanned over 20 years. A 15-year stint in the UK saw him become a central figure in the Scottish jazz scene, appearing with international jazz stars Ulf Wakenius (Sweden), Barbara Morrison (USA), Lillian Boutee (USA), Julian Arguelles (UK), Jim Mullen (UK), Silke Eberhard (Germany), Jamie Oehlers (AUS), and many others.
Since returning to his home country and settling in Toronto in 2014, he has carved out a reputation as a versatile and dependable sideman working with many top shelf Canadian artists. He can be seen regularly with the Alison Young Quintet and the Johnny Griffith Trio, as well as appearing with established veterans Adrean Farrugia, Artie Roth, Roberto Occhipinti, Ron Westray, Jeff King, Kieran Overs, vocalists June Garber, Billy Newton-Davis, Gavin Hope, and many others.
This evening’s all-star CHRIS WALLACE QUARTET also features jazz masters KIRK MacDONALD on saxophone, LORNE LOFSKY on guitar, and bassist KIERAN OVERS, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of The Home Smith Bar.
