“I’ll quite happily go out of my way to hear Chris Gale, a tenor saxophonist – among Toronto’s
finest – who has matched an impressively sure, though not showy command of the instrument to a strong sense of its older and newer traditions in the service of a distinctive style that is timelessly melodic yet distinctively modern.” (Mark Miller, critic/author)
This evening’s stellar CHRIS GALE QUARTET features jazz masters MATT NEWTON on piano, PAT COLLINS on bass, and TED WARREN on drums, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of The Home Smith Bar.
