Venerated singing star ARLENE SMITH‘s rich contralto voice has made her one of the Toronto club scene’s best-loved singers ever since she relocated here in the early ‘90s after two decades playing to packed houses and critical acclaim in New York and her native Montreal. In Toronto, she immediately became an important regular on the performance rosters at revered jazz venues including The Montreal Bistro, George’s, Bourbon Street, and Top O’ The Senator, working with Toronto’s finest musicians including Moe Koffman, Peter Appleyard, and Norman Amadio.

She continues to impress jazz audiences wherever she performs today, and her three CDs, showcasing a variety of ensembles, unique song selections, and intimate treatment of each, continue to sell worldwide through CD Baby.
This evening’s singing star ARLENE SMITH features jazz greats MIKE MURLEY on saxophone, MARK EISENMAN on piano, and STEVE WALLACEon bass, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
