Steve Amirault Trio

Every Friday, and Saturday throughout the Summer, the Home Smith Bar at the Old Mill Toronto showcases some of the most important instrumentalists on today’s jazz scene in the charming intimacy of one of Toronto’s best-loved lounges.

Nova Scotia-born musician, STEVE AMIRAULT, is a highly accomplished artist.  Soon celebrating his third anniversary of living in Toronto, the Juno Award-winning pianist/vocalist, has just released his 6th album,“Hold On, Let Go,” to critical acclaim. His outstanding piano playing, combined with his rich, soulful baritone voice, make Amirault a performer not to be missed.

A celebrated artist, Amirault has won the Montreal International Jazz Festival Competition, the Prix Opus (Album of the Year for his recording, “Breath”), and two Juno Awards (for collaborations with François Carrier and Christine Jensen.) This dynamic performer has shared the stage with many great artists including Joe Lovano and Dave Liebman, and has recorded with Sheila Jordan and Eddie Gomez.

This evening’s all-star STEVE AMIRAULT TRIO features jazz masters STEVE AMIRAULT on piano and vocals, PAT COLLINS on bass, and drummer NICK FRASER, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
