Rosemary Galloway Quartet

Every Friday, and Saturday throughout the Summer, the Home Smith Bar at the Old Mill Toronto showcases some of the most important instrumentalists on today’s jazz scene in the charming intimacy of one of Toronto’s best-loved lounges.

Multi-faceted bassist, composer, bandleader, and prolific recording artist ROSEMARY GALLOWAY‘s impressive list of credentials as a member of the Toronto jazz elite includes countless engagements playing with internationally recognized musicians including Clark Terry, Vic Dickenson, Wild Bill Davison, Buddy Tate, Jay McShann, Jake Hanna, Warren Vaché, Spanky Davis, Doc Cheatham, Jim Galloway, Terry Clarke, Norman Amadio, Kathryn Moses, and many others.

She has composed for and recorded with her own groups ‘The Swing Sisters’ and ‘Velvet Glove’, and Jim Galloway’s famed ‘Wee Big Band’. Her most recent release is with the Jane Fair/ Rosemary Galloway Quintet, featuring original compositions on their acclaimed CD “Waltz Out”.

This evening’s all-star ROSEMARY GALLOWAY QUARTET features jazz masters PAT LaBARBERA on saxophone, DON THOMPSON on piano, bassist ROSEMARY GALLOWAY, and drummer TED WARREN, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
