Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday throughout the Fall and Winter, the Home Smith Bar at the Old Mill Toronto showcases some of the most important instrumentalists and leading vocalists on today’s jazz scene performing for your pleasure in the cozy intimacy of one of Toronto’s best loved lounges.
JULIANN KUCHOCKI is a genre-spanning vocalist who sings in four languages and performs jazz, blues, R’n’B, funk, soul, rock & roll, and country music. She has released four albums to date, including ‘Don’t Explain’, (April 2010), her chart-topping originals album ‘Broken Compass’ in 2012, ‘Blue Girl Green’ in 2013, and her latest double record release in Asia, “Juliann Kuchocki – A Good Jazz Collection”. Eight additional compilation CDs have been released around the world. She also recently signed a record deal with EQ music in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Her next vocal album will feature living legends including Gene DiNovi.
Kuchocki’s music showcases her innate gifts and versatility, a celebration of a life’s journey that has been both exciting and glamorous, yet challenging and painful. Her musical voice has been shaped by more than 25 years of diverse experience as a vocalist, actress, director, producer, dancer, and choreographer. She has headlined the Mont Tremblant Jazz Festival, performed at the Celebrate Toronto Festival, TD Toronto Jazz Festival, toured with Cats in Germany, Beauty & The Beast in Japan, and many other global music festivals.
Juliann Kuchocki was honored as Best New Artist (Original Jazz Music) in the Barrie Music Festival, and is respected as founder of the (3rd annual in 2016) South Coast Jazz festival in Norfolk County.
This evening’s singing star JULIANN KUCHOCKI features jazz masters DAVID RESTIVO on piano and DAVE YOUNG on bass, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
