Every Friday, and Saturday throughout the Summer, the Home Smith Bar at the Old Mill Toronto showcases some of the most important instrumentalists on today’s jazz scene performing for your pleasure in the cozy intimacy of one of Toronto’s best-loved lounges.

His stellar career has included stints with Peter Appleyard’s band, the John Macleod Rex Hotel Orchestra, Brigham Phillips’ Big Band, the Maritime Jazz Orchestra, NOJO, the Spitfire Band, Jim Galloway’s ‘Wee Big Band’, Memo Acevedo’s ‘Banda Brava’, Gary Morgan’s ‘PanAmericana!’ and Hilario Duran’s Big Band.
He has performed and recorded with the icons of the international music scene including Diana Krall, Holly Cole, Tito Puente, Memo Acevedo, Alan Jackson, Shania Twain, and Michael Bublé; played Pops concerts with the National Arts Centre and Toronto Symphony Orchestras; played at international jazz festivals from Montreal and Toronto to Montreux and Bern; performed in the pit bands for more than two dozen hit musicals; and played on the soundtracks for important feature films. His first CD ‘The Hang’, earned him a nomination at the 2007 Smooth Jazz Awards. He is currently on the faculty at Humber College.
This evening’s all-star DAVE DUNLOP TRIO also features jazz masters ROBI BOTOS on piano and MARC ROGERS on bass, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of The Home Smith Bar.
