Brian Barlow Trio

Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday throughout the Winter, the Home Smith Bar at the Old Mill Toronto showcases some of the most important instrumentalists and leading vocalists on today’s jazz scene in the cozy intimacy of one of Toronto’s best-loved lounges.

Multiple international award-winning drummer, percussionist, and producer BRIAN BARLOW performed on Juno Award-nominated and Juno-winning recordings every year for 30 consecutive years.  He was a member of Rob McConnell’s “The Boss Brass” for 15 years, during which they were nominated for six Grammy Awards and a 1995 Grammy win.

He has collected three National Jazz Awards, been the featured drummer in multiple major theatrical productions, television specials and series, and performed as percussionist in dozens of leading feature films.  Barlow is the founding Creative Director of the widely respected Prince Edward County Jazz Festival.

This evening’s stellar BRIAN BARLOW TRIO features jazz masters BRIAN BARLOW on drums, ROBI BOTOS (piano), and SCOTT ALEXANDER on bass, entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
