Brian Barlow Trio

First Tuesday and every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday throughout the Spring, The Home Smith Bar at the Old Mill Toronto showcases some of the most important entertainers on today’s jazz scene performing for your pleasure in the cozy intimacy of one of Toronto’s best-loved lounges.

Multiple international award-winning drummer, percussionist, and producer BRIAN BARLOW performed on Juno Award-nominated and Juno-winning recordings every year for 30 consecutive years. He was a member of Rob McConnell’s “The Boss Brass” for 15 years, during which they were nominated for six Grammy Awards and a 1995 Grammy win. He is currently in his 43rd year performing with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

He has collected three National Jazz Awards, been the featured drummer in multiple hit theatrical productions, television specials and series, and performed as percussionist in dozens of leading feature films.  Barlow is the founding Creative Director of the Prince Edward County Jazz Festival and has been Artistic Director for Jazz Vespers at Christ Church Deer Park in Toronto since 1999.

This evening’s all-star BRIAN BARLOW TRIO features jazz masters ROBI BOTOS (piano), SCOTT ALEXANDER (bass), and BRIAN BARLOW (drums), entertaining in the up-close-and-personal ambience of the Home Smith Bar.
